Per queste ragioni, la Direzione, nel confermare la scelta assunta dall’Assemblea regionale del partito il 19 dicembre scorso, condivide la proposta di rilanciare il confronto con il Governo regionale, per contrastare la drammatica crisi economica e sociale della Sicilia, a partire dai temi degli investimenti, dello sviluppo e del lavoro, avviando una vera concertazione con le parti sociali sulla programmazione dei fondi comunitari e Fas. La Direzione auspica che le forze politiche critiche e di opposizione al Governo Berlusconi trovino la massima sintonia, in Sicilia come a livello nazionale, per contrastare efficacemente le scelte politiche della destra e ritiene, in particolare, urgente creare le condizioni e le convergenze necessarie per rendere ancora più efficace il confronto parlamentare e con il Governo regionale nell’interesse della Sicilia.
In tal senso la Direzione sollecita il Presidente della Regione ad assumere un’urgente iniziativa al fine di dare soluzione all’attuale situazione di stallo, con un Governo in grado di dare attuazione alle riforme varate e di rilanciare l’azione amministrativa in Sicilia, rompendo in maniera forte con quanti nel Governo Berlusconi operano contro gli interessi della Sicilia.
